Charities and An Award Put NY Sisters in the Spotlight

Over the past few months, Sisters from New York have been busy with charities and community events. They did a food drive and a winter garment drive, with clothes being donated to the Part of the Solutions (POTS) organization in the Bronx.

During the Christmas holiday, Sisters participated in their annual Toys-For-Tots drive. The gifts were donated to Graham Windham, an organization that provides services to youth and families in Foster Care. Sisters and Brothers are also helping with repairs at the property estate.

Tammy Rivera, SIB Chair, topped off the quarter’s events with something special – she was one of three women who received the “Woman of Distinction” award from the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. Tammy also celebrated International Women’s history month by representing the Women’s Caucus in Albany, New York, where she spoke with female elected officials.

A wonderful quarter for sure!
