With 250,000 cars passing the Boston Council Office each day, the location is prime for showcasing women Carpenters as a marketing approach. That’s what the NERCC started doing in May 2018. Specifically, they launched a billboard campaign that showcases a different female member each month. The billboard is displayed for two weeks – check out the photos.
Sisters and the Council believe that this highly-traveled, 10-lane highway, offers a chance to highlight female Carpenters and encourage interest in the Union. Their goal is to get more women to apply for the apprenticeship.
