NPR Interviews Massachusetts Sisters

Western, Massachusetts Sisters Tyeka Robinson and Lisa Clauson recently talked Union benefits and wages on a New England Public Radio show. The show starts with Tyeka describing her struggles, seven years ago, before finding the Carpenters Union.

Lisa adds to the discussion by talking about how construction is changing, and describing what the New England Regional Council is doing to attract more women. The Build A Life campaign, highway billboards, and monthly information sessions are offered as examples.

The discussion is positive and informative. It ends with Tyeka telling women to “come on down.”
