Sisters Join Fight to Keep Collective Agreements

Allowing for an “opt-out” of collective agreements with the Carpenters Union is not something Ontario Sisters and Brothers will take sitting down. They have joined other construction Unions and supportive legislators to protest a move by the Provincial Government to give this choice to school boards, municipalities, and universities.

Recently, Sisters Deanna Wheeler and Katie Ross accompanied Director of Political Action, Mike Yorke, to meetings with representatives of these specific groups. Their goal was to encourage them to keep the collective agreements that are currently in place.
