Pete Rodriguez joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters as Heavy Highway Bridge Carpenter/Form Setter Apprentice at the recommendation of his father, a Union Laborer.
He was hired by the Carpenters/Contractors Cooperation Committee (C/CCC) in 2001 where for fifteen years he was a Committee Representative and later Team Coordinator.
He was hired in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant for the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, went on to serve as President, and Executive Secretary-Treasurer/CEO, and is a Trustee on the Carpenters’ Health and Welfare, Pension, Vacation, Annuity, and Training Funds.
In January 2023 Rodriguez was appointed Western District Vice President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. In this role, WDVP Rodriguez assisted the West Coast Regional Councils – Hawaii, Northern California, and Western States – with programs, culture initiatives, and new opportunities for better Union jobs, wages, and benefits for members and their families. Rodriguez builds on the work of his predecessors, prioritizing training, teamwork, organizing, and ensuring all actions benefit the membership.
Rodriguez is a board member of the California Conference of Carpenters and LA 28, the official organizing committee for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
In June 2025, Rodriguez was appointed and subsequently elected on the McCarron Team at the general convention in August 2025 as Second General Vice President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
