Central South Sisters Engage with Politicians

With the mid-term elections approaching, Sisters in the Central South Regional Council are making sure candidates and elected officials know their concerns. They are doing that by offering a first-hand look at how Union work affects their constituents.

The new training center in Pasadena, Texas provides the right venue for these political interactions. It was recently visited by some politicians who toured the facility and talked with Sisters. In one photo, SIB Chair Maria Robles is with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. The other photos show candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Lupe Valdez (white jacket), as she tours the training center. Candidate Valdez also spoke at the Union meeting in July 2018.

These Sisters are making their voices heard by being up close and personal.
