Thousands of UBC members took part in a special webinar where UBC General President Douglas J. McCarron laid out the plan for reopening the International Training Center (ITC).  He explained that all participants coming to the ITC for training will have to be fully vaccinated.

As President McCarron said, “All of our jobsites have safety requirements – hard hats, specific PPE or background checks. This is no different. This is a safety requirement so that all of us can work together and go home safe at the end of the day.”

Getting more people vaccinated is also a critical part of keeping the economic recovery going and getting our countries back on track.

In order to help answer member questions about COVID-19 vaccines the General President was joined by special guest, Dr. Francis Collins, director of the U.S. National Institutes of Health and a leader in the fight against the pandemic.

“The vaccine greatly reduces your chance of getting (the virus),” said Dr. Collins. “The evidence that it can help you is overwhelming.” View the full webinar, including member questions, HERE.
