Sisters in the Brotherhood

Every day, thousands of women play a critical role in making the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America the best union in North America. Sisters in the Brotherhood (SIB) supports female members by providing assistance in obtaining craft training and leadership skills; by being advocates on women issues; and by mentoring new members and even potential members.

Regional
Committee Resources

UBC provides important resources to help Regional Council or Local Unions create and manage their own Sisters in the Brotherhood committees. A core part of the SIB mission is encouraging action and involvement at the local and regional level, and this resource library can be a valuable tool for doing just that.

“This union has always stood for fairness and the rights of all workers.”

Douglas J. McCarron, General President
